Rosewood Farm

Rosewood Farm was established in 1973. It was a little rugged and rundown to say the least but the land was beautiful. If you are Irish the land is everything, especially when sprinkled with horses. Many horses have been ridden here, broke, bred, bought and sold through the years. Mostly thoroughbred hunter/jumper types. There were also user-friendly packers and the occasional pony.

My heart always belonged to the ponies. On several trips to Northern England and Ireland I was introduced to and fell in love with Connemara Ponies. My size. My temperament. My future. A Connemara can be - in one package - a family pet and friend, an older lady’s hack and a sporthorse athlete. They have brilliant minds and attitudes. They also do very well on very little and they get along exceptionally well socially in herds. Our goal is to produce all of the above with an emphasis on correct conformation and sporthorse ability.

We are now well on our way to producing some stable minded performance ponies out of our little band of quality mares.
